Certain things are going on in this world which needs to be talked about.

Certain things are going on in this world which needs to be talked about. In the olden days, our forefathers did not do things that was uncalled-for.  Today, the youth are doing things that is a disgrace to them and their body. A very short but popular social media video that is generating a stir features a loved-up couple enjoying themselves with drinks and cigarettes in what appears to be a pub. Unbeknownst to them, a man who happens to be a friend of the couple was standing right next to them, using questionable methods to get his hands on the woman who is closest to him. The video’s most amusing element is how this third party friend can be seen indecently pushing his fingers into his best friend’s girlfriend dress in broad daylight. don’t forget to add your comments and share with family and friends

Montana Historical SocietyJohn Jeremiah Garrison Johnston, nicknamed Liver-Eating Johnson. They say he was born John Jeremiah Garrison Johnston, but it’s a safe bet that almost nobody called him that. The mountain man of the wild west was better known by his nickname, one he earned and then some. Yes, he may have been born John Jeremiah Garrison Johnston, but he died “Liver-Eating” Johnson. Before He Became Liver-Eating Johnson According to legend, Liver-Eating Johnson was born in 1824 in Little York, New Jersey, though he didn’t live there long. At the dawn of the Mexican-American war, he left home to enlist in the Navy. However, his stint as a sailor didn’t last long either. After striking an officer, whether on purpose or by accident, he fled the army and became a deserter. To throw the authorities off his scent, he changed his name to John

Man executed over r*pe and mur**der of girl his pregnant wife lured into their home The teenager was a ‘peace offering’ from the man’s wife over her affairs with other men A Chinese man was executed on Friday for raping and killing a teenage girl whom his pregnant wife had lured into their home. The man, Bai Yunjiang, was sentenced to death for rape, murder and robbery in a closed-door hearing at the juvenile court in Jiamusi, Heilongjiang province, last June. His wife, Tan Beibei, was given life imprisonment. The couple’s 17-year-old victim, Hu Yixuan, had been lured into their home in Huanan county by the then-pregnant Tan in July 2013. Tan had feigned a stomachache and asked the girl to help her home as it was raining, according to court hearings released by state media. In the couple’s home, Hu was given a spiked yogurt drink as Bai thanked her for helping his wife. He then handcuffed the teenager to a bed and tried to rape her. But he failed to do so as he had a “physical issue” a

CHINESE TORTURE: WHEN THE JESUIT MISSIONARIES CAME TO BEIJING, THEY WERE SURPRISED.....

Chinese Torture: When the Jesuit missionaries came to Beijing, they were surprised at how low the crime rate is, Witnesses would give the evidence to the magistrate who would then pronounce his verdict.  Chinese Torture 酷刑 Kù xíng When the Jesuit missionaries came to Beijing in the early 17th century they were amazed at how low the crime rate was compared to back home in Europe.  There was a good reason for this, China had developed a system of torture that frightened people into obeying the law.  There was no real concept of defense, once arrested you were more or less condemned; a confession would be routinely extracted by torture (for example hanging by thumbs or kneeling on chains or crushing ankles).  Your only real hope of acquittal would be the rapid intervention of influential family and friends. For most crimes the Imperial official (the magistrate) stood in judgment at his ‘yamen’. Each town would have a yamen which contained living accommodation, prison cells and the cour

Chinese man executed for r*pe of minor HARBIN - A man in Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province was executed on Friday for the rape and murder of a 16-year-old girl, in collusion with his pregnant wife. Bai Yunjiang was put to death by the Intermediate People's Court of Jiamusi City after the Supreme People's Court approved the death penalty. In November, 2014, the Higher People's Court of Heilongjiang Province rejected the couple's appeals and upheld the sentences of the city court which sentenced Bai to death and his wife Tan Beibei to life imprisonment for intentional homicide, rape and robbery. On July 24, 2013, Tan, who was pregnant at the time, lured the girl, identified as Hu, to their home by pretending to have pregnancy complications. The couple then gave the teenager a yoghurt drink spiked with Clonazepam, a kind of sedative, and attempted to rape her. They were unsuccessful, but killed the girl anyway and buried her body, the court said. Tan said her hus

16 year old, says she was r*ped by hundreds of men in western India At least seven men have been arrested in western India after a 16-year-old girl claimed she was raped hundreds of times by hundreds of men in the latest horrifying case to highlight India’s rampant sexual violence problem. In a statement to India’s Child Welfare Committee (CWC) on November 11, the girl, who was homeless, said she was raped by 400 people in Beed district of Maharashtra state, according to CWC chairman Abhay Vitthalrao Vanave. She named two policemen in her complaint, Vanave said. The girl was begging for money at a bus stop when she was allegedly forced into sex work by three men, Vanave said. While the number of alleged rapists would be difficult to corroborate, the girl could identify at least 25 alleged perpetrators, he added. The girl had attempted to file a police complaint against a man she accused of beating her up, but officers did not register it, Vanave said. In a statement Monday, the police

SHW WAS HANGED IN CALIFORNIA 168 YEARS AGO --- FOR MURDER OR FOR BEING MEXICAN?

Image
She was hanged in California 168 years ago — for murder or for being Mexican? The young Mexican woman walked to her death with a firm step. Her face betrayed no fear as she climbed the ladder to a scaffold on a bridge overlooking the Yuba River. The afternoon sun sparkled on the waterway as it wound through pine-shrouded mountains. The night before, hundreds had celebrated the Fourth of July. Now, they watched, silent, as the woman pushed back two plaits of black hair from her shoulders. She placed the noose around her neck. When they called for her last words, she declared, fearless, “I would do the same again if I was so provoked.” Here in this small town in the northern reaches of the Sierra Nevada, the legend of Josefa lives on more than 160 years after her death. Her saga, cobbled together through historical news articles, books and history buffs, is largely unknown even among the state’s Mexican American population but has riveted young and old here in the middle of Trump coun

The Tortured Bond of Alice Sebold and the Man Wrongfully Convicted of Her R*pe

Image
The Tortured Bond of Alice Sebold and the Man Wrongfully Convicted of Her R*pe Afew months ago, the writer Alice Sebold began to experience a kind of vertigo. She looked at a cup on the table, and it no longer appeared solid. Her vision fractured. Objects multiplied. Her awareness of depth shifted suddenly. Sometimes she glanced down and for a split second felt that there was no floor. Sebold and I had recently begun corresponding, a little more than a year after she learned that the wrong man had been sent to prison, in 1982, for raping her. In 1999, she had published “Lucky,” a best-selling memoir about the rape and the subsequent conviction of a young Black man named Anthony Broadwater. Then she wrote “The Lovely Bones,” a novel about a girl who is raped and murdered, which has been described as the most commercially successful début novel since “Gone with the Wind.” But now Sebold had lost trust in language. She stopped writing and reading. Even stringing together sentences in an e

Former soldier sentenced to life in prison for Iraq r*pe, mur**ders A Kentucky jury sentenced former US soldier Steven Green (pictured) to life in prison for the gang rape and murder of a 14-year-old Iraqi girl and the murders of her mother, father and six-year-old sister after failing to agree on a death sentence. A Kentucky jury Thursday handed life imprisonment to a former US soldier for the gang rape and murder of an Iraqi girl and the slaughter of her family, sparing him from the death sentence. After 10 hours of deliberation Wednesday and Thursday the nine women and three men on the jury returned without a unanimous verdict for an execution. Their failure to agree effectively handed Steven Dale Green life in prison without the possibility of parole for the rape and killing of 14-year old Abeer al-Janabi and the murder of her mother, father and six-year-old sister. Green, named as the ringleader in the March 2006 atrocity, was tried in a civilian court after being discharged from

THE PAINFUL DEATH OF THE WORLD WAR TWO HERO "TEDDY SHEEAN" HE WAS AWARDED THE VICTORIA CROSS MEDAL.

Image
Today, World War II hero, Teddy Sheean, was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross medal. Edward "Teddy" Sheean was an ordinary seaman serving on HMAS Armidale whose death during a Japanese aerial attack on his ship has become a well-known episode in Australian Second World War lore. His courageous sacrifice began when HMAS Armidale was hit by two aircraft-launched torpedoes off the coast of what is now Timor-Leste. Armidale began to sink fast. Sheean was wounded and, rather than abandon ship, he strapped himself to his Oerlikon and began to engage the attacking aircraft even as the ship sunk beneath him. He shot down two planes, and crewmates recall seeing tracer rising from beneath the surface as Sheean was dragged under the water, firing until the end. He died on 1 December 1942 aged just 18. Only 49 of the 149 men on board survived the attack and subsequent ordeal on rafts and in life boats. Related Article  Painting depicting U.S. soldiers assaulting a German trench

Elizabeth Martha Brown, Tess of the D’Urbervilles inspiration On a drizzly morning this date in 1856, Elizabeth Martha Brown (or Browne) was hanged for mu**rder as a young and fascinated Thomas Hardy looked on. Brown was born Clark(e), but she took the name of a husband 20 years younger than she, which is how she got into this mess. Said John Brown was rumored to have made the match for money, though his older wife sure seems to have held her own in the looks department. (More on that in a bit.) In due time, John afflicted their already-tempestuous wedded life with an affair — courtesy of one Mary Davis, a young woman stuck in her own unhappy May-December marriage. According to the confession Elizabeth provided two days before her own death, she had a fantastic row with her drunken husband when he came home at 2 a.m. one night and Elizabeth accused him of being “to Mary Davis’s?” He then kicked out the bottom of the chair on which I had been sitting, and we continued quarrelling until

The woman in the video was handcuffed, beaten, and forced to confess as an informer to the ruling military. She was  beaten, slapped, and kicked in the video clip. 'K!!! our pilot and we'll execute ALL your prisoners': Jordan 'says it will hang its ISIS captives' if airman hostage is dead Jordan has threatened to fast-track the execution of a would-be suicide bomber the Islamic State is trying to free if the terror group kills its captured pilot, it was reported today. The government has apparently warned that Sajida al-Rishawi and other jailed ISIS commanders would be 'quickly judged and sentenced' in revenge for Muath al-Kaseasbeh's death. It comes after a deadline for a possible prisoner s wap allegedly set by ISIS passed yesterday with no clue over the fate of al-Kaseasbeh or fellow Japanese hostage Kenji Goto. Intelligence sources said ISIS's refusal to prove that al-Kaseasbeh was alive meant any deal with the militants was doomed. Now Jordan has reportedly stepped up its rhetoric by warning of its intent to retaliate if the negotiations end in bloodshed. Elijah Magnier, chief international correspo

Woman survives stoning execution in Syria and manages to flee when ISIS gunman is stopped from shooting her ‘because it was God’s will that she lived’ A Syrian woman survived an execution by stoning in Syria and managed to flee because it was 'God's will that she lived'. The woman was being stoned by the Islamic State group for alleged adultery and left for dead. But the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said today that she has 'miraculously' walked away from the brutal punishment alive. The organisation said the jihadist group sentenced the woman to be 'stoned for adultery' in the town of Raqqa - an ISIS stronghold in northern Syria. Militants carried out the punishment and 'stoned her until they thought she had died,' said the Britain-based monitor. But just as they had stopped pelting her with stones, the woman stood up and tried to flee. 'An IS militant was about to open fire at her when an Islamist jurist intervened and stopped him saying

The last exe**cution by han**ging in Ireland

Image
The last execution by hanging in Ireland took place 67 years ago today, on 20 April 1954 when 25 year old Michael Manning was executed. 67 years ago today, on April 20, 1954, a chapter in Irish legal history closed when Michael Manning, a 25-year-old carter from Limerick, became the 29th and last person to be legally executed in Ireland.  He had raped and murdered Catherine Cooper (65) who worked at Barrington’s Hospital, in Limerick, in February 1953.  He was found by the Gardai (police) because he had left a distinctive hat at the scene of the crime and was found with the yellow beret his victim had been wearing.  Manning’s headpiece was, as Dermot Walsh described in his book on the case, Beneath Cannock’s Clock, a “Mountie hat”.  It had a high conical shape, pinched into panes at the tip, and was otherwise known as a Baden Powell hat after the founder of the scouting movement. Manning was sentenced to death despite the fact that the victim’s family had petitioned to court to show hi

Singapore executes 1st woman in almost 20 years over 31 grams of heroin A woman caught with narcotics in Singapore in 2018 was executed on Friday, making her the first woman the city-state has punished with the death penalty since 2004. Capital punishment: Saridewi Binte Djamani, 45, was executed by hanging on Friday, Singapore’s Central Narcotics Bureau announced in a news release. The bureau noted that the woman was “accorded full due process under the law and was represented by legal counsel throughout the process” as the government faced an outcry from human rights activists against the decision. What happened: Saridewi was convicted after being caught with 30.72 grams (approximately 1.08 ounces) of diamorphine, or pure heroin, in 2018.  The bureau noted that under the Misuse of Drugs Act, anyone caught with more than 15 grams of heroin will be subjected to the death penalty. The amount Saridewi had at the time of her arrest was “more than twice that amount, and is sufficient to fe

"No To Execution" Hunger-Strike Movement Spreads Across Iran and Abroad...

Dozens of Iranian journalists, lawyers and prisoners, including jailed artists Toomaj Salehi and Mehdi Yarrahi, said they would also join the hunger strike A sharp rise in executions in Iran has sparked a passionate call from Iranian civil society to abolish the death penalty in Iran, with a growing number of activists in and outside of the country announcing plans to go on hunger strike to make their voices heard. The campaign has grown since imprisoned Nobel Peace Prize winner Narges Mohammadi said she and dozens of other women inmates in Tehran’s Evin prison would launch a hunger strike on January 25, following this week’s execution of a young protester who was diagnosed with a mental condition. “The incarcerated women stand resolute, determined to etch the names of the executed into our collective consciousness,” according to a joint statement posted on Mohammadi’s Instagram account. “They strive not only to preserve the memory of those lost but also to spare the countless lives

Teaching about the Comfort Women during World War II and the Use of Personal Stories of the Victims

Image
“Comfort women” refers to the system of sexual slavery created and controlled by the Imperial Japanese government between 1932 and 1945. It is the largest case of government-sponsored human trafficking and sexual slavery in modern history. Many scholars have argued that the term comfort women, a euphemism coined by the Japanese military, obscures the gravity of the crime.  While the authors agree that “military sexual slaves” is a much more accurate and appropriate phrase, we use the term comfort women in this article to refer specifically to the victims of the Japanese military’s sexual slavery system during World War II and “on which decades of international debate, historical research, and legal discourses are mounted,” following the earlier scholarly works. 1 Estimates vary as to how many women were involved, but most scholars agree that hundreds of thousands of women were victimized, and that includes girls as young as twelve years old. A majority of the women who were forced into
