  China has issued an order urging judges to avoid executing criminals in all but the most extreme circumstances. The order follows reports of widespread wrongful convictions and criticism that lower courts arbitrarily impose the death penalty. It is the latest effort by Beijing to reform capital punishment in China, which is believed to legally kill more people than the rest of the world combined. Judges have been ordered to use the death penalty more sparingly by showing leniency for murderers who co-operate with authorities and to non-violent, "white-collar" criminals. "Capital punishment should only be given to an extremely small number of serious offenders," the Supreme Court said a statement posted online. The full order issued to the courts was not made public. Man Charged With Ra*pe Hanged in Rajai Shahr Prison Prison authorities in Rajai Shahr break routine and execute a prisoner on a Monday rather than the usual Wednesday. A 29-year-old man who was sentenced to death for the charge of rape was reportedly hanged at Karaj's Rajai Shahr Prison.  According to a report by the state-run news outlet, Iran, the execution of the man, who was only identified as "Morad", was carried out on the morning of Monday August 28.  The report says "Morad" burglarized the house of a 62-year-old woman whom he raped. In addition to the death sentence, the prisoner was also issued a 10-year prison term and 74 lashes for the charge of theft, and a 1-year prison term for the charge of beating up a police officer.   Shocking video shows Mexican cartel members lined up on their knees and taunted, moments before they are executed by a rival gang. The video, posted to social media by members of Los Tlacos, shows about 20 doomed men who are purported members of La Bandera, part of the Guerreros Unidos cartel, according to El País, a Spanish language publication.
