With the plane on fire and sinking, Jason manages to land in the water, saving the passengers, but remains baffled as to what caused the birds' aggressive behavior.

The Coast Guard's attempt to get closer to the plane wreck resulted in an attack from the swarming birds. 

The birds were determined to prevent the Coast Guard from getting close, and the crew was forced to jump off the ships and swim back to safety. 

The passengers and cabin crew were baffled by the strange behavior of the birds, and when they got closer, the birds swarmed again, darkening the sky.

The Coast Guard tried to scare the birds off with high-pitched noises, which worked, but they knew they had to act fast before the birds returned. 

They successfully towed the plane out of the water, but during the search, the birds returned and tried to get into the luggage department.
