Blood-soaked man walks through streets holding pal’s severed head after ‘killing him because he made a pass at his mum’

An Indian factory worker drove his motorbike 20km to a police station while carrying his mate's head


A BLOOD-covered Indian factory worker strolled into a police station carrying the severed head of his childhood chum after killing him for “making a pass” at his mum.

The grisly scene was the third such beheading in Karnataka, southwest India, in a month.


A shocking video shows the moment Pashupati, 24, arrived at Belakavadi police station on his motorbike after carrying his friend Girish’s head by the hair for 20km.


Pashupati, from Chikkabagilu in Karnataka, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.


The worker told police that he chopped off his mate’s head as he had allegedly made sexual advances towards his mother.


Times of India reports that Pashupati and Girish, 35, were childhood chums, but their friendship was heavily strained three years ago when the latter allegedly acted inappropriately.


When a fight broke out between the men, village elders intervened to warn Girish of serious consequences if he continued behaving in such a way towards his mate’s mother.


However, Pashupati allegedly began plotting his revenge as he was unhappy that Girish was not punished for his actions.


And last Saturday, after telling Girish he had forgiven him, he invited him home after attending a large festival.


Police explained: “Girish accepted the invite and at home, Pashupati served him tea.


“He then convinced Girish to come along with him on his bike to Kolathur village.”


When they reached a secluded area, Pashupati raised the issue with him, and “after a heated altercation, he chopped off Girish’s head,” police said.


Superintendent of Police Shivaprakash Devaraj, added: "We are investigating the incident, but the accused and the victim were good friends.


"It appears that the victim died in the morning, just before his head was brought to the station.


"Pashupati informed the police officials that Girish spoke ill of his mother, which triggered a fight between the two."


On September 11, a woman was beheaded as her husband suspected her of having an affair. He took her severed head to the police station, according to Hindustan Times.


And last Thursday, Azeez Saddam surrendered at the Srinivasapur police station after he beheaded his wife for allegedly committing adultery.
