Freddie Mercury. AIDS ravaged his body. He was at his peak & he slowly turned from a strong, energetic person to dying body who worked to create music with his last bit of strength. He did not complain. He did not blame anyone. He died at the age of 45. 31 years later he is still missed.



Freddie was born Sept. 5, 1946. He passed November 24, 1991. This year is the 31st anniversary of his death. Miss you, Freddie. ❤️ Happy 76th birthday.


His doctor, GORDON ATKINSON: “This is very difficult for me as my mind is still filled with the thoughts of his dying. 

He never complained and his anguish was more for his friends and family than for himself. His bedroom was filled with flowers and Delilah, his tortoiseshell cat, was always poking her face out from beneath the covers when anyone visited.

On the night he died, I was telephoned in my car five minutes after I'd left the house to say that he'd stopped breathing. When I returned, he was lying there with a look of ecstasy on his face. His parents arrived for prayers and wondered if his face had been made up; he looked to be in such ecstasy.


It had been a long fight for him. For nearly five years he had carried on without question and the end, when it came, it was sudden and peaceful.”
